A FLAMBE-GLAZED BOTTLE VASE QING DYNASTY, 18TH / 19TH CENTURY
QING DYNASTY, 18TH / 19TH CENTURY of flattened quadrilobed section, the rounded lobed sides
rising from a tall splayed foot to a waisted neck and flared
the pear-shaped body supported on a straight foot and rising rim, flanked by a pair of raised flanges modeled with stylized
to a slightly tapering columnar neck, covered overall in a dragon heads and hooked tails, covered overall with a
lavender-blue glaze dappled with white and deep mulberry brilliant rich purple glaze with milky-blue and lavender
tones, streaks of pale celadon around the rim, the base with streaks drizzling down from the neck, the glaze thinning to
a pale celadon colored crackled glaze a dark brown color at the rim, the base left unglazed with a
height 13⅞ in., 35.2 cm layer of chocolate-brown dressing
