The pale stone formed as a smiling shaven-headed gentleman
elaborately dressed in a red-collared green jacket above a purple
robe, reclining on ruyi-shaped rocks with his right hand gently
clasping an elegant fly-whisk streaming towards the raised right
knee, the left arm supporting a playful Buddhist lion.

A soapstone figure of Shoulao and boy
17th/18th century
The yellowish green stone shaped as a tall figure of the God of
Longevity with his distinctive extended cranium and flowing beard,
his body bent over a long staff grasped in his right and and his left
hand supported by a dancing boy gleefully holding up a peach
painted red, wood stand.
