against a ground of scrolling foliage, mounted in a reticulated wood Qing dynasty
frame as a table screen. The sinuous beast with its head turned to bite its own flank,
4 3/8in (11.2cm) length of plaque supported on an ovoid base with a tear-shaped central aperture, one
end pierced with two holes for suspension, the evenly-color stone
