Qing Dynasty
Comprising: a pair of rounded boxes and
covers with a central red ground medallion
of chrysanthemums; three rounded boxes
and covers, one with a black ground ‘birds’
medallion, a second one with naturalistic
cabbage, peaches and lingzhi reserve, and a
third with lotus flowers; a hexagonal box and
cover with lotus and prunus flowers; together
with a black ground jar and cover with lion
handles, decorated with bats, Buddhist
emblems and ruyi clouds. The largest:
14.5cm (5 3/4in) wide (14).
