           FOUR ARCHAISTIC JADE PENDANT AND BEADS
           Late Qing Dynasty
           Comprising an axe of flattened teardrop shape, pierced on the narrow
           end, the celadon stone lightly stained brown in areas; a conjoined
           cong bead decorated with six archaistic characters on one side, the
           other sides carved with six tiers of double panels, the ends finished
           with circular rims, the stone mottled and stained black in areas; the
           short cylinder bead with a cutting line at waist, the pale celadon stone
           stained black in areas; an elongated cylindrical bead lively carved with
           a chi dragon in relief, the translucent stone turned opaque in areas. (4)
           7/8in to 3 1/8in (2.3cm to 7.9cm) high

           the present lot with one end altered in black, from the George
           Eumorfopoulos Collection and donated to the British Museum in   105
           1938, is illustrated on the museum’s website, registration number
           1938.0524.412.

           FIVE ARCHAISTIC JADE SWORD FITTINGS
           Late Qing Dynasty
           Comprising a small sword guard of triangular shape, the stone
           mottled and stained brown in areas; a scabbard chape carved with
           a chi dragon on one side, the reverse carved with a horse under a
           tree, the stone mottled green and russet-brown; a scabbard chape
           of trapezoidal form, carved with scroll designs over reduced ground,
           the beige stone stained brown in areas; two plain scabbard chapes of
           similar shape, the celadon stone stained russet brown in areas. (5)
           15/16in to 2in (2.4cm to 5.1cm) wide
