SEVEN ARCHAISTIC JADE BEADS
Late Qing Dynasty
Comprising a small cong of eight tiers, the translucent stone with
russet inclusions; a slender plain cong with square sides and circular
rims, the gray stone stained black in areas; a conjoined cong carved
with a chi dragon on each side, the ends finished with circular rims, the
celadon stone stained brown in areas; a drum-shaped bead with a pair
of bowstrings at the waist, the stone stained brown at one end; a small
flattened tiger-form bead, perforated through the center for stringing,
the russet-brown stone stained black in areas; a recumbent tiger
perforated on the back, the pale celadon stone stained brown in areas;
a cylindrical bead lively carved with a chi dragon, the stone stained
black with cream mottling in areas. (7)

SIX ARCHAISTIC JADE SWORD FITTINGS
Late Qing Dynasty
Comprising two sword guards of closely related shape, the surface
undecorated, the celadon stones stained brown in areas; two
scabbard chapes of similar shape, the surface undecorated, the
celadon stones stained russet-brown; a large scabbard chape
of flattened trapezial form, the surface undecorated and pitted to
one side, the celadon stone stained russet-brown in areas; a thick
scabbard chape carved with a chi dragon in relief, the reverse carved
with scroll patterns forming a taotie mask, the stone mottled and
altered russet and black. (6)
