           FIVE ARCHAISTIC JADE SWORD GUARDS
           Late Qing Dynasty
           Comprising one with lingzhi patterns in relief, the reverse carved with
           large keyfret patterns, the center with a slit opening, the beige stone
           stained red and black; a crown-shaped guard with a chi dragon on
           either side, a circular perforation at the center, the celadon stone
           stained brown in areas; a trapezoid guard incised with a mask on
           either side, perforated through the center, the gray stone stained black
           on one side; a guard of squared chevron shape, incised with scroll and
           circles on either side, perforated through the center, the stone stained
           black in areas; a guard of elongated chevron shape, incised with scroll
           patterns and the surface stained brown and perforated through the
           center. (5)

           TWO JADE ‘TORTOISE’ CARVINGS
           Late Qing Dynasty
           The ‘mythical tortoise’ with a pair of antlers behind the head,
           perforated through the cheeks for stringing, the back slightly concave,
           the celadon stone with brown and cream alteration to one side; the
           plump tortoise naturalistically carved with its head raised, the stone
           mottled brown and cream in areas. (2)
           Mystical tortoise: 2 3/16in (5.6cm) long;
           Tortoise: 2 5/8in (6.8cm) long
