A RARE CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL ‘PEACHES AND
POMEGRANATE’ MOONFLASK
Late Ming Dynasty
Of flattened globular form rising from a short oval spreading foot to a
cylindrical neck and gilt rim, applied to the shoulders and neck with
two lobbed handles, the body boldly enamelled to each side with a
fruiting and flowering branch bearing two peaches on one side and
two pomegranates on the other side, all on a turquoise ground, the
foot, rim and edge of handles gilt.
