A BRONZE CENSER AND PIERCED COVER
19TH CENTURY
清十九世紀 銅雙耳饕餮紋蓋香爐
The rounded censer is raised on a slightly faring circular foot and is
cast with two large archaistic taotie masks on a scroll ground. The
sides are applied with leaf-shaped branches. The stepped domed
cover is openworked with trailing leaves.

A SMALL BRONZE ARCHAISTIC VESSEL AND COVER, YOU
PROBABLY 17TH-18TH CENTURY
十七/十八世紀或更晚 銅饕餮紋仿古提梁方卣
The vessel is cast in the form of an archaic fangyou and decorated in low relief
with large taotie masks and archaistic birds, all reserved on a leiwen ground.
The arched handle is fanked by two mythical animal-head terminals. The
cover is similarly decorated and has a stud-shaped fnial.
