                                                                                       GLAZED ‘CHILONG’ VASE
                                                                                       QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

                                                                                       清乾隆 窯變釉石榴小杯及螭龍紋小方尊

                                                                                       The pomegranate cup is modelled growing from a leafy branch and is covered
                                                                                       in a vibrant fambé glaze streaked with purple, red and light blue, thinning
                                                                                       to beige at the extremities. The vase is of fanggu form, covered in a sky blue
                                                                                       fambé glaze with subtle pale streaks, and is applied with a chilong clambering
                                                                                       over the mouth rim.

                                                                                                     KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)

                                                                                                     清康熙 茄皮紫釉獸耳爐

                                                                                                     The censer is applied to each side of the body
                                                                                                     with a mythical beast-head handle surrounded
                                                                                                     by stylised scrolls. It is covered in a glaze of deep
                                                                                                     purple tone, thinning slightly around the rims and
                                                                                                     waisted neck.
