CELADON-GLAZED BOWLS
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)

宋 耀州青釉刻花卉紋碗及青釉小碗 一組四件

The Yaozhou bowl is carved to the exterior with overlapping fower petals and
is covered in an olive-celadon glaze. Two of the small bowls are of plain conical
form. The third bowl is carved to the interior with two fsh amongst waves and
is covered in an olive-celadon glaze.

Budai holds a large sack in his left hand and wears a long rosary around his
neck. His belted robe is worn loosely, exposing his belly.
