A LARGE GREEN AND RUSSET JADEITE ‘CRAB AND DUCK’ WASHER
19TH CENTURY

清十九世紀 青玉帶皮和諧紋洗

The washer is intricately carved and pierced in the form of a large lotus leaf growing from a beribboned
stem, with a crab to the interior, clasping a millet stem in its claws, the other end of which is held by a duck
perched on the side. Another duck rests on the opposite side, beside a dragonfy. The stone is of an even
pale green tone, with small areas of russet inclusions cleverly picked out in the carving.

10æ in. (27.4 cm.) wide, fnely carved wood stand
