A MOTTLED CELADON JADE SWORD POMMEL
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)

明 青玉劍首

The pommel is of circular form and is carved to one side with two raised bands
encircling a pair of small pierced apertures to the centre. The stone is of an
attractive mottled celadon tone sufused with a network of brownish-black
streaks.

The cong is fnely incised to the exterior with a delicate archaistic scroll design.
The stone is of an attractive pale celadon and vibrant russet tone.
