A CARVED AND PIERCED WHITE JADE ‘AXE’ PENDANT
18TH CENTURY

清十八世紀 白玉龍紋鉞形珮

The pendant is carved in low relief to one side with a sinuous chilong. The
reverse is incised with a mythical beast head amongst archaistic ‘C’ scroll
designs. The stone is of a milky white tone with a few small areas of greyish
inclusion.
