                                                                                 The vase is decorated with scrolling stylised lotus against a turquoise ground
                                                                                 divided by three narrow navy blue foral bands. The baluster shoulder is
                                                                                 surmounted by a pair of lion-head masks with loose ring handles.

QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)

清乾隆 掐絲琺瑯饕餮纏枝蓮紋仿古觚

The vase is enamelled on the drum-shaped mid-section with taotie masks
divided by gilt fanges, between upright petals enclosing stylised motifs on the
trumpet neck and similar pendant leaves on the spreading foot, all divided by
lotus scroll.
