A BRONZE ARCHAISTIC BELL
DATED 59TH YEAR OF QIANLONG, CORRESPONDING TO 1795, AND OF THE PERIOD

清乾隆五十九年(1795) 銅雙龍鈕銘文鐘

The bell is decorated to the top with a band of lappets above an archaistic scroll and horizontal ribs.
One side is cast with an inscription and the other side is painted in red enamels with a further inscription.
The domed openwork handle is cast with mythical beasts.
