           A QINGBAI LOBED VASE

           NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (AD 960-1127)

           The vase is well potted with a lobed ovoid
           body below a trumpet neck that rises to an
           outward-turned, fower-shaped mouth, and
           is supported on a scalloped foot, all under an
           even greenish-blue glaze.

           A QINGBAI CARVED LOBED DISH

           NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (AD 960-1127)

           The lower body fares from the tapered foot
           and then the sides fare widely to the rim
           notched as six petals. The interior is carved
           with three leafy bouquets of lotus blossoms
           and buds, and the dish is covered inside and
           out with a glaze of aqua color.
