                                  A LONGQUAN CELADON ‘HUNDRED-RIB’ JAR

                                     LATE YUAN-EARLY MING DYNASTY, 14TH-15TH CENTURY

                             The high-shouldered, tapering body is carved around the sides with narrow vertical ribs
                             between a plain band at the foot and the plain, slightly tapered neck, and is covered inside and
                             out, and inside the foot, with a glaze of sea-green color that thins to a paler tone on the ribs.
