AN UNUSUAL LARGE BLUE-GLAZED JAR
MING DYNASTY, LATE 15TH-EARLY 16TH CENTURY
The heavily potted jar has a high-shouldered tapering body and a cylindrical neck, and is
covered on the exterior with a rich blue glaze that also covers the mouth rim, while the
interior is covered with a blue-green-tinted clear glaze. The base is unglazed.
