                       A WHITE JADE SHAPED RECTANGULAR
                       PENDANT/PLAQUE

                       18TH-19TH CENTURY

                       One side of the thick pendant is carved in
                       low relief with two boys, one seated and
                       holding a bi, the reverse with four characters,
                       lian zhu he bi (‘a perfect pair’), reserved on
                       a matte ground within a rectangular panel,
                       all within a raised outer border, and with a
                       small loop projecting from the bottom. The
                       semi-translucent stone is of even tone.

                       A WHITE JADE LOBED PENDANT/PLAQUE

                       18TH-19TH CENTURY

                       The thick pendant is carved on one side with
                       an archaistic taotie mask and the reverse with
                       two characters, hu fu (‘tiger tally’), within an
                       oval border, all below ruyi clouds at the top,
                       which is pierced for stringing. The semi-
                       translucent stone is of even tone.
