Qianlong four-character mark, Republic
Period
Elaborately painted and gilt with a shaped
panel of peacocks and birds on blossoming
river banks, the reverse with phoenix and
exotic birds in a flowering garden, on a
turquoise ground reserved with lotus blooms,
auspicious emblems and foliate scrolls, the
neck with a delicate ‘mille-fleurs’ design on a
gilt ground.
