Taken from a Tea Bowl of faience made by Taizan, and
probably decorated at Tokio, The mark of the maker is
impressed underneath the bowl the other marks are painted
;
in gold upon the interior of it, and refer to the subject of
the decoration. The characters to the right are Chioku-sho
SoNG-sHA, meaning The Priest Chiokiisho. Those to the left
are Dai Nip-pon, Bi-zan yegaku. Painted by Bizan, Great
Japan.

Taken from a Tea Bowl of similar character to that named
above. The inscriptions read Dai Nip-pon, Bi-zan yegaku.
