name of the ware.

Stamped upon a Cup of Soma pottery. Kane-sige.
Kanesige, the name of the maker.

Stamped upon a Cup of Soma pottery covered with
Celadon glaze. The mark of the maker.
Soma. Bowls of this ware are prized in Japan owing to
their supposed virtue of warding off attacks of paralysis.
