                                       No. 546.
              Stamped upon a Flower Pot of Yatsushiro pottery, made
         in the province of Higo.      Gen,   the name,   or mark,   of the
         maker.





                                        No. 547.
              Stamped upon     a  Hanging    Flower Vase     of Yatsushiro
         pottery,  said to have been made       about 1800 a.d.     Sai, the
         name, or mark,    of the maker.




                                        No. 548.
              Stamped upon      a Teapot   of modern Yatsushiro pottery.
         Ji, the name of the maker.





                                        No. 549-
              Stamped upon      a Jar  of pottery made     at the Shigaraki
          kiln,  at Nagano,  in the province   of Omi.    The mark of the
          maker.












                                        No. 550.
               Stamped upon     a Figure   of faience  of considerable   age.
          Ko-to,   Hio-nen-sai.    Hionensai being the maker, who lived
          at  Koto,  the  East  side  of the Lake    Biwa,  in the province
          of Omi.
