Stamped upon a sake Bottle of pottery, made at Uji,
in the province of Yamashiro. Asa-hi. Asahi, the name
of the ware, which is so called from its resemblance to a
renowned tea bowl of Corean manufacture known by the
“
same name, which signifies morning light.”
No. 552.
In relief upon a Bottle of pottery, made in the province
of Yamashiro. The mark of the maker.

Stamped upon an Ash Bowl of pottery, made at Toyou-
rayama, in the province of Nagato. Toyou-ra-yama, the
name of the ware.
