Engraved upon an iron Sword-guard. Cho-shiu, Hagi
jiu, Kuni-taka tsukuru (saku). Made by Ktmitaka, a resi-
dent of Hagi, in Choshiii, the province of Nagato.

Engraved upon a brass Sword-guard, ornamented with
medallions filled in with coiled dragons. Ozite motome
Yasu-chika dzusu. Mitsu-hiro chio-shiu. Designed by Yasu-
chika (a painter), in answer to a demand. Engraved by
Mitsuhiro.

Inlaid on an iron Dish, with figures in relief, and
enriched with gold, silver and coloured alloys of superb

workmanship the inscription is in gold and the border in
;
silver wire. Modern work. Kio-to jiu, Koma-i seisu. Made
by Komai, a resident of Kioto.
