In relief upon bronze Mirrors. No. 701. A mirror
decorated with the matsu (pine tree) and take (bamboo),
and with the Tsurit-kame (the crane and the tortoise), all
of them emblems of longevity. Katsu-yama, Fuji-wara,
Masa-toshi. Masatoshi Kaisuyama, Fujiwara. The name of
the maker. Nos. 702 and 703 appear upon a pair of
mirrors decorated with the kiri the inscriptions are the
same : Katsu-yama Masa-toshi the name of the maker,
;
who, in these instances, has omitted his assumed name of
Fujiwara.
