Carved upon a wooden Mask used as a Netsuke. Ten-ka
icHi, Ide-me Uye-mitsu. Uyemitsu Ideme, the first man in the
world; the name of the maker. The lower character is the
mark of the maker.
No. 732.
Engraved upon a Flower Pot formed out of a large
tusk of ivory, upon which is carved a representation of a
battle, probably that of Yashima. Ide-me Sei-gioku the

inscription is not very clear, but the interpretation given is
probably correct. Seigioku Ideme, the name of the maker.
No. 733.
Carved upon a wooden Tea-jar, decorated with metal
ornamentation in relief. Kiu-saku. Kiusaku, the name of
the maker.
