                         Engraved upon an ivory Netsuke.        Sa, meaning    left^ and
                    probably   signifying  that  the  artist carved  the  netsuke  with
                    his  left hand.

                    rated with   lacquer and ornamentation      of figures of gold   in
                    relief.  Hoku-raku-sai Jo-setsu tsukuru.          Made   by Josetsu
