A GREEN-ENAMELLED ‘DRAGON’ JAR
QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE
AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)

The exterior of the ovoid jar is outlined in underglaze blue and enamelled in
green to depict two fve-clawed dragons chasing faming pearls amidst fames
and clouds. The shoulder is decorated with a band of the Eight Buddhist
Emblems, bajixiang.
