2249 A GREEN AND AUBERGINE-DECORATED
YELLOW-GROUND DISH
100 18TH-19TH CENTURY
The interior of the heavily potted dish
is decorated with a green dragon and an
aubergine dragon leaping amidst clouds and
fames as they contest a faming pearl below
eight fowers including lotus, rose, peony,
crab apple, prunus, camellia, chrysanthemum
and hollyhock in the rounded well, while
a frieze of four dragons at similar pursuit
decorates the exterior. A Kangxi mark is on
the base.

AN UNUSUAL FAMILLE VERTE BOTTLE

19TH CENTURY
The neck is decorated on one side with
a woman seated on a terrace watching a
mouse and on the reverse with two farmers
approaching a bridge, all above two striding
dragons applied to the shoulder above waves
decorated with sea creatures, prunus fowers
and auspicious symbols on the body.
