A YELLOW AND GREEN-GLAZED ‘DRAGON’
MEIPING
19TH CENTURY
The vase is incised with two fve-clawed
dragons pursuing a faming pearl above
undulating waves, and beneath ruyi, key
fret, and lappet borders on the shoulder and
neck, all in green on a rich egg yolk-yellow
ground. The base is incised with an artemisia
leaf and similarly glazed.
