Kangxi
Each globular body painted with elaborate
Islamic-style floral motifs, the shoulders
encircled with ‘Batavia brown’ border, the tall
thin necks with further foliate designs, the
mouth rim also brown-glazed, the base with
an artemisia leaf.

a cash-diaper ground, the flaring necks with
birds and flowers.

Kangxi
Each similarly painted in vivid washes of
underglaze blue with sinuous dragons chasing
pearls among clouds, the slender necks with
plantain leaves and hanging jewellery, the
high, splayed feet with interlocking designs,
the base with a floral spray.
The tallest: 24.5cm (9 5/8in) (2).
