The porcelain, Wanli, the mount possibly Turkish, 19th century
The pear-shaped vessel painted with long-tailed birds amongst foliage,
the neck and mouth mounted with a repousse sleeve decorated with

A blue and white double-gourd vase
Chongzhen
The lower section finely painted with a dignified scholar cradling a
staff of office in his robed arms, the figure standing on grass besides
a crane, the rocky landscape also with two boys, one carrying books
and the other a lantern, the scene separated by cloud scrolls, the
waist with a band of foliate lotus scroll beneath sprays of prunus, lotus,
orchid and peony.

A rare blue and white bottle vase
Kangxi
The baluster body moulded with lappet panels, painted with boys at
play in a garden attended by four ladies at leisure, the tapering neck
with bamboo and a raised string, the everted mouth rim embellished
with flames and lozenge motifs, the base with an entwined couple in
an amorous embrace.
