Provenance
Narford Hall Collection, Norfolk, by repute.

Narford Hall was built in the 18th century by Sir Andrew Fountaine
(1676-1753), a noted antiquarian, art collector and architect. His large
collection of majolica, paintings, books and sculpture, acquired mostly
on his two Grand Tours, was sold during a four day auction in 1884.
