TWO OVERLAY DECORATED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
Late 19th century
The first a blue overlay ‘snowflake’ glass bottle, each main side with
a circular panel enclosing an ivory color-washed watch face beneath
transparent glass, the details painted in black and gold color, and
with faux mask-and-ring handles on the narrow sides; the second
a slender bottle, carved through the lavender overlay to the clear
glass ground, one side displaying grapes and a squirrel, the reverse
featuring rocks, fruits, chrysanthemum, and hovering insects, the
narrow sides decorated with thinly carved animal mask-and-ring
handles (both bottles with chips).

A MOSS AGATE SNUFF BOTTLE
19th century
Well-hollowed, the rounded bottle standing on a recessed flat foot,
the surfaces undecorated to accentuate the attractive moss green
inclusions, mottled with light brown and gray (tiny nicks to rim).

TWO OVERLAY DECORATED GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES
19th/early 20th century
The first an ovoid form clear glass bottle with applied black overlay,
skillfully carved on each side with archaic ‘bronze’ vessels (tiny
chips on foot ring); the second an ochre color bottle modeled in
compressed globular form, the applied green overlay carved to
display lotus and pine tree on one side, reversed with blooming
plants rising from rocks (chip to overlay).
2 7/16 to 2 1/2in (6.2 to 6.4cm) high

TWO AGATE SNUFF BOTTLES
19th century
Both very well-hollowed, with faux lion mask-and-ring handles on
narrow sides; the first a rounded square bottle supported on a
slightly splayed oval foot ring, the subtly spreading neck rising to a
recessed lip, the honey brown matrix cast with lighter and darker
shades; the second a pear form bottle with a neatly raised, splayed
foot, thin lip, the gold brown matrix suffused with dark brown and
pale gray patches.
