           Wang Xizhi with a goose, the reverse carved with lingzhi and bamboo  lotus blossoms and leafy scrolls; the second a rounded metal bottle
           by serrated rocks (surface wear and abrasions).   with enameled bajixiang emblems; the third a miniature cloisonné

           Well-hollowed, the rounded square bottle carved on the obverse   Robert Hall, France, acquired 30th September 1992
           in low relief with a Spanish eight reales coin from 1816, and the
           Spanish coat-of-arms on the reverse; the stone of buff and pale

                                                             The first converted from a white jade toggle, carved as a melon
           Provenance                                        group issuing from undercut woody stems bearing leaves and
           listed in an appraisal report compiled by Robert W.L. Kleiner,   scrolling tendrils, with two squirrels crawling on the larger melon
           Sotheby’s, 2 September 1988                       (soiling, staining, tiny chips); the second a white stone bottle in the
                                                             form of a lobed melon, the side walls decorated with leafy branches
                                                             and scrolling tendrils (small chips, mouth rim polished down; the third
                                                             an gray agate bottle ‘wrapped’ within a shield-form case with incised
                                                             key-fret borders (pinpoint nicks).
