A PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE HEXAGONAL SECTIONED-
BALUSTER VASES
20th century
Each painted with mirror images of a pair of peacocks resting on a
garden rock and other birds alighting on branches of bamboo, pine
and prunus that rise along all six walls, interrupted by a diaper band
drawn along the join of the body to the waisted neck, the platform
foot with extruding edges also accented with openwork details.

A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN FISHBOWL
Late Qing/Republic period
Painted with flower heads in reserve on the cobalt ground of the
flat rim and a continuous battle scene between infantry and cavalry
taking place on the exterior walls bordered by intricately drawn
decorative bands, the interior and exterior walls glazed, leaving the
foot pad and recessed base unglazed (wear and soiling from use, rim
edge retouched).

AN ARCHAISTIC COVERED TRIPOD VESSEL WITH
UNDERGLAZE AND OVERGLAZE BLUE
Gu xiang shi fang zhou yi mark, late Qing/Republic period
The basin colored with overglaze blue enamel applied to both loop
handles, the three short feet and the body above and below a
xiangcai band drawn in underglaze blue, the domed cover decorated
en suite, the six-character mark on the partially glazed base written in
underglaze blue (one handle re-stuck); with fitted wood stand.

The mark on the base states that the vessel was made for the House
of Ancient Fragrance to imitate a Zhou [dynasty bronze] yi.

A BLUE AND WHITE GARDEN SEAT
Late Qing/Republic period
Of barrel form, cut with cash-patterned openings to the top and the
sides set between opposing rows of raise circular bosses, painted
with each of the Eight Buddhist Emblems amid composite lotus and
peony flowers borne on slender leafy stems.
