A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE ENAMELED SHALLOW BOWLS
Guangxu marks, Republic period
Each bowl carefully potted with a flared rim and painted across
the well with a butterfly approaching bamboo and gourd vines that
continue onto the exterior walls separated by two further butterflies,
the recessed base bearing the six-character mark in underglaze blue
standard script (glaze flaw to one bowl).

TWO POLYCHROME ENAMELED CONTAINERS
The first a wide-mouthed bowl with a flared rim, painted in famille
rose enamels with a continuous scene of a Hundred Boys at Play, the
recessed base bearing a six-character Qianlong mark in underglaze
blue seal script; the second a wine cup painted in iron red and
gilt with dragons chasing a flaming pearl against a field of waves
rendered in raised white enamel, the base bearing a six-character
Xianfeng mark in iron red seal script.

A SANCAI GLAZED FIGURE OF AN ELEPHANT AND RIDER
Republic period
Molded with the elephant standing foursquare on a rectangular base,
supporting on its caparisoned back and kneeling figure who holds a
candlestick rising from a leaf-formed bowl, the surfaces covered in
green, amber and straw colored enamels that pool in places on the
unglazed base (broken and re-stuck).

A LARGE FAMILLE ROSE VASE
Qianlong mark, late Qing/Republic period
Thickly potted and painted with opaque white and brightly hued
enamels to depict peony flowers in bloom separated by upright
cylindrical handles and narrow decorative bands on the waisted
neck, a wide band of cresting waves and flowers at the shoulder and
further peony blossoms in bloom around the curving body above
another wave band along the tall foot, the deeply recessed base
bearing the six-character mark in underglaze blue seal script (neck
reduced in size).
