164 NORTHERN SONG DYNASTY (AD 960-1127)
The steep, fared sides are carved on the exterior
with vertical lines below the everted rim, and the
interior with two lotus-like blossoms alternating
with two large leaves, all amidst foliate scroll. The
bowl is covered with a rich greyish-green glaze
pooling in the recesses.

A RUSSET-SPLASHED BLACKISH-
BROWN-GLAZED CONICAL BOWL
NORTHERN SONG-JIN DYNASTY, 12TH
CENTURY
The interior is covered with a blackish-brown glaze
splashed with fne russet markings and thinning to
russet on the rim, and the exterior is covered with a
matte, russet glaze with black markings stopping
above the low foot ring revealing the buf body.
