A QINGBAI FLOWER-FORM BOX AND COVER A QINGBAI CARVED PETAL-LOBED DISH
SOUTHERN SONG-YUAN DYNASTY, SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)

The top of the box is decorated with a six-petaled fower The center is carved with a leafy peony stem below ribs of slip that rise to the
head. Together with a fve-peaked brush rest, Qing six notches in the fower-form rim, and the dish is covered inside and out with
dynasty (1644-1911) or earlier, molded on each side with a a glaze of aqua tone. Together with a qingbai molded bowl, which is molded in
willow tree fanked by two horses below butterfies. the center with a pair of mandarin ducks in fight below six panels of fowers
in vases or jardinières molded on the deep sides, and is covered inside and out
Box 3 in. (7.6 cm.) diam., brush rest 4¿ in. (10.5 cm.) long with a bluish glaze below the unglazed rim.
