fashioned with a craggy mountainscape, the front depicting the
Hehe erxian playfully strolling in a rocky landscape beneath an
overhanging pine tree, one riding a three-legged toad emitting
a cloud of spiders from its mouth, the other holding a lotus
sprig following closely behind, the reverse carved similarly
with large rocky cli s with a deer emerging from the mountain
crags, the stone of a pale celadon tone, wood stand

naturalistically worked with a jagged mountainscape laden
with overhanging pine trees, carved in varying levels of relief
of a scene of the ‘Hehe erxian’ depicted playfully crossing a
bridge over a stream, one opening a cloud emitting bag, the
other seated holding plantain leaves, the reverse similarly
carved with large rocky cli s and a spotted deer issuing from
the crevices of the rocks, the polished stone of an even pale
celadon tone with russet highlights, wood stand
