           Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
           Cast as a pair of wrestlers, one lifting his opponent as he resists, using
           the Kawazu throw, both affixed to a carved bronze rectangular stand;
           unsigned. The figures: 29.5cm (11 5/8in) high,
           the stand: 5cm x 21.5cm x 14.1cm (2in x 8¼in x 5½in).

           Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
           Each vase decorated with a matching and continuous design of chidori
           (plovers or dotterels) in flight above spumy waves, the birds applied
           in bronze and silver high relief, the shoulder engraved with confronted
           rain dragons, each signed on the base with chiselled characters
           Dai Nippon Saikyo Yoshida [...] do; Shinsodo saku.
           Each vase: 28.5cm (11¼in) high. (2).

           The centre with pierced opening bordered by a circular panel of spiral
