Each finely carved in mirror image as a lingzhi
head enclosing an ant and a bee beside a
flowering gnarled prunus branch, the reverse
carved in shallow relief with a small lingzhi
head and bamboo leaves.

A group of three cricket cages
Late 19th/early 20th century
The first carved with a lone figure walking
in lush autumn mountain landscape,
surmounted by a pierced ivory cap of
two dragons contesting flaming jewels;
the second a plain gourd, the ivory cap
elegantly carved and pierced with grape
vines; the third plain gourd with white jade
and ivory floral cap.

An ivory abstinence plaque
19th century
The thin rectangular plaque centered to
the front and back with zhaijie and bolgomi
targa reserved on a raised network of finely
carved mythical animals and interlocking
spirals; together with a Ming dynasty plaque
elegantly carved in low relief with a bird on a
flowering branch.
