A SMALL GREENISH-WHITE AND
RUSSET JADE RETICULATED ‘TIGER’
BOULDER
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The boulder is carved to one side with russet
inclusions highlighting a tiger crouching beside
leafy foliage and sprays of lingzhi fungus. The
reverse is detailed with two hunting dogs. The
stone is of a pale tone with russet inclusions and
small grey areas.

A WHITE AND RUSSET JADE ‘BOY AND
GOOSE’ CARVING
JIN-YUAN DYNASTY (1115-1368)
The piece is fnely carved in the form of a smiling
boy seated on a recumbent goose, clasping in his
right hand a lotus bloom growing from a large leafy
stem. The stone is of a white tone transitioning to
russet at the lotus.
