A SMALL FIVE-COLOUR GLASS OVERLAY BOTTLE VASE
QIANLONG FOUR-CHARACTER INCISED MARK AND OF THE PERIOD
(1736-1795)
The vase is carved through the green, dark blue, pink, red, and yellow glass to
depict a sinuous chilong coiled around the neck above two ducks perched on
scrolling lotus stems bearing fowers, buds, leaves and roots, all in contrast to
the opaque white glass body. The vase stands on a pink glass foot.
