Each bowl is covered in a lightly mottled turquoise
glaze, stopping at the top of the foot to reveal the
white ware.

VASE
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vase is modelled with a bulbous lower section
supporting a slender neck. The vase is covered
with a translucent bluish-turquoise glaze which
stops unevenly just above the foot.

A TURQUOISE-GLAZED ‘TORTOISE’
WATER DROPPER
KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)
The vessel is shaped as a tortoise with its legs and
tail tucked close to its body and its head raised.
Its domed shell is decorated with a honeycomb
pattern. The details of its eyes, shell, and tail are
