          A CARVED NUT ‘WU SHUANG PU’
          BRACELET
          QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
          The bracelet is comprised of eighteen oval beads
          each carved in relief with a diferent personage
          from the Wu Shuang Pu (The Table of Peerless
          Heroes) accompanied with their name. The beads
          are separated into two halves by an openwork
          circular bead carved with a pierced cash design
          and a similarly carved fotouta from which hangs an
          openwork jadeite ‘bat and peach’ plaque and two
          coloured rock crystal pendants.
