          A ROSE QUARTZ CARVING OF A
          MYTHICAL BEAST
          18TH-19TH CENTURY
          The beast is carved recumbent with its front and
          hind legs tucked under it and its trifurcated tail
          ficked over its haunches. The head is carved lifted
          with its ears pinned back, alert eyes, and a slightly
          opened mouth to reveal its tongue. The stone is of
          a translucent pink tone with pale inclusions.

          A WHITE JADE CARVING OF A CHILONG
          QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
          The recumbent beast is carved with the legs
          tucked under the body and the head turned to one
          side. The spine is well defned and the long tail is
          swept to one side. The stone is of a pale even tone.
