               Composed of one hundred-and-eight reticulated spherical rudraksha
               seeds separated by larger faceted blue glass beads with matching
               reticulated blue glass plaque and teardrop pendants attached to the
               blue silk cord and three subsidiary strands, each with ten reticulated
               bone beads tinted to imitate coral.

               Composed of eighteen circular beads of well-matched color,
               alternating with circular spacers of carved wood or seed that
               join to a central amber bead and turned conical terminal with
               silk tasseled pendant that includes a rose glass vajra, blue glass
               endless knot plaque and rose glass melon-form bead, interrupted
               by stringed tiny pearls and orange-red paste beads (craze lines
               and tiny chips from use).

               19th century
               Including a miniature bamboo ink cake rest of subtly curved profile,
               elegantly carved to the top with a simple chrysanthemum spray, a
               two-line poem, and a carefully incised cartouche reading Zhou Li
               (active in Qianlong and Jiaqing periods), the reverse carved with a
               landscape and an additional cartouche; the second a rectangular
               hardwood box, its cover mounted with a pierced wood plaque
               carved with two meiren (beauty), one holding an unfolded scroll
               incised with the phrase chang chun bu lao (eternally ageless); the
               third a small bamboo brush rest skillfully carved in rounded relief with
               a four-line poem depicting the joy of a hermit’s scholarly life, signed,
               with a cartouche.
